Rural World:
1. Agricultural in character. Predominance of fanning community.

11. Highly religious. Conservative and superstitious in character. Belief in status-quo. More ritualistic in nature. Puberty-ritual is prevalent in rural areas. More bound by traditions & customs.
Urban World:
1. Non-agricultural in character. (Professions, trade, Commerce) Industrial.
2. Greater isolation from nature. Predominance of man-made environment over natural.
3. Large in size, hence complex in structure.
4. Density of population is more. More of land is being used for residential purposes than agricultural purpose.

11. More secular in nature. Dropping of rituals. Urban community generally lessens the impact of single religion. Certain rituals are abbreviated or minimize. Certain rituals are tend to be dropped. Less bound by tradition and customs.
